How about Jason Woodside all over the map. From Collette in Paris to Adidas and now a new collaboration with Hayden Cox in Australia. Getting the work and partnerships he deserves. Jason is one of the first people I met in NY and has always served as an inspiration in my life. Being from St. Augustine, FL, sacrificing beach over city, he knows the work was well worth the time. Congrats man.
A weekend seeing upstate new york was needed. Traveling to see where one of our greatest inspirations, Pop, as we call him. Where he spent his childhood before moving down to NY to attend pratt institute to study fine art. To say the least we replenshied our selves, unplugged rom the world and kicked back, relaxed, to enjoy the ride.
Our most recent project has been constructing a visual space for the Dolce Vita showroom in SoHo. They were after a rustic Colorado winter time feel that was inspired by their latest collection. We used over a warm, neutral color palette and a mix of recycled birch wood & antiques to help us evoke the feeling they were after. 100 birch poles later and a lot of blood, sweat, and no tears it is finally complete.
Coming off three weeks of travel to some far off and in between family favorite spots, amongst those we hit Charleston, SC. Devner,CO. & Central/Southern coast of California seeing foreign faces and some familar places. We started off by getting a week of frigid and fresh powder in the rockies. Then shooting to Charleston to get some fresh southern hospitality and oyster heaven. Then ended up visiting the hometown of our legend below here, photographer and NY daily special Jeffery Jones. Who introduced us into one of the talented shapers based out of costa mesa, california, shaper/creator Tanner surfboards. And couldn't happen been a wrap of good friends without seeing our Japanese business parter and surf ambassador, Ken --> (Look for a new collab. between JJ x MAI-DEA coming soon for Japan's finest) Took a train up the central coast and met up with east coast holmie where the film finally jammed and couldnt report anymore 35mm, but its best that way, when theres nothing but waves, nobody really needs to see where your at. All of this and more makes us gay dolphins. Here are a few clips from the trip
